From the small town of Lima, Ohio, Chosen on the Beat was surrounded by music from a very young age. With his father, a pastor introducing him to music in the church, Chosen began his bond with music. Moving to San Diego in 1991, he soon became more involved in church and learned to play the drums. Chosen eventually met fellow producer and now business partner, K20 who guided Chosen to the art of beat making.
